Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) on Handloom Tant Saree



Tater saree project, we are analyses the market of bengali saree & tant saree by the 

reference of integrated marketing communication. Here we are doing some research project 

on tant saree. We are analyses the promotional strategy & Way of market communication of 

tant saree of fulia & rajbalhat in nodia & Hooghly.






Introduction : Design and product development with the weavers cluster in Nadia 

(santipur, fulia) and Hooghly (rajbalhat) is based on the observation and assessment of the 

existing design, skill, infrastructure and equipment. During the last few intervention I 

associate with master weavers on various possibilities of handloom (tater) saree. To the 

reference of integrated marketing communication, we developed a specification sheet format 

based on the handlooms.  It helps to tremendously in record keeping as well as in fast 

communication. We also worked upon developing multiple weave structure on a single warp

thought techniques of tater saree. Hear we analyses the Promotional strategy , IMC tool etc 

in the saree market of  Nadia & Hooghly, shantipur & rajbalhat.
